Life Coaching Testimonials

Andrea and I spoke on the phone long before I began working with her.  Although only a few minutes, the conversation made a lasting impression.  Seven  months after my second child was born, when the demands of children, career, new business and home seemed to momentarily plateau, I realized I had a precious window of opportunity to invent the next chapter of my life and that Andrea was just the person to help.  Our work together clarified my core values and provided the support I needed to make leaps both personally and professionally.   Andrea’s discipline and candor encouraged me to be systematic in my work and her skilled listening and insight created a baseline of comfort and trust you might expect from knowing someone for years.  Perhaps most importantly, her guidance helped reveal my own strengths and created a base for an ambition and focus I did not know I had.  Andrea is especially skilled at cultivating a calm outlook and teaching how that calmness can be a place of untold discovery and opportunity.  In some ways she folds time – enabling you to accomplish more, with more depth, health and balance, even with more sleep at night – all while not adding a single minute to the day.  In the end, my work with Andrea has been some of the most transformative in my adult life.

Andrea is a gifted coach and I would recommend her to anyone who is ready to take life to the next level and discover new capacity for ambition, generosity, productivity and happiness.

Andrea gave me the practical support I needed to make critical choices in my work that allowed me to move forward.  As a direct outgrowth of our collaboration, I tackled and completed projects that had been languishing.  Additionally, through her fine-tuned listening, she helped me unearth core areas in my personal life that had been gnawing away at me; she supported me to become more empowered and clear. Andrea embodies the playful feminine!  She is curious, insightful, and she knows how to question and nudge with intuition and intelligence.  My feminine soul felt deeply nourished being in her company and from her counsel.

In a culture that values financial success and has little focus on happiness its no wonder we go through life feeling disconnected. As a forty-something veterinarian with a busy practice, I had begun to see some of the results of chronic stress on my body and on my relationships. I had joined the ranks of forty-somethings that tried to keep all the balls in the air without a lot of time to breathe.

I was referred to Andrea as a life coach and we started our work together eliminating things that were draining my energy, and focusing on goals that were important to me. I thought I would accomplish losing a few pounds and maybe a few other things as well.

My wife thought I was nuts at first, hiring someone to coach you at life, but as she watched the inner me return she wanted what I was having.

After a few months of working together, it was obvious to me that the goal was so much larger than what I’d originally thought. We start life with enthusiasm, creativity and magic. As life piles more responsibility and throws us a few curveballs its easy to lose touch with that. What attracted me to life coaching is that it is results oriented, but Andrea’s background and vast experience in therapy ended up being a welcome bonus.

Working with Andrea has been a turning point. Her approach is honest, insightful, keenly supportive, and results-oriented.

Today’s fast pace encourages us to burn the candle at both ends and what we give up sometimes is our health and wellbeing. My work with Andrea put my relationship with myself at center stage. I have been amazed at how different my life looks after a few months of work.

I started working with Andrea at a difficult time in my life. I didn’t like my habits of thought and behavior, but didn’t know how to change them. I had vague goals of getting “unstuck” and “being happier.” I thought I’d give it a try, but I wasn’t certain much would change.

Boy, was I wrong. It’s been a revelation, as if Andrea opened a door to a whole language of thought and behavior that I didn’t know existed. In the past there were people and situations that were impossible for me to deal with. But now I see that I simply didn’t have the skills to handle them. Andrea is helping me develop those skills. In each session she asks questions (What’s one little thing you might do? How might you make this easier for yourself? What might you say? What can you do if you feel uncomfortable?); she suggests techniques and literature; and she helps me think of ways to move forward that work specifically for me. Andrea draws on a vast body of knowledge, both traditional and nontraditional, and years of experience working with all kinds of people to help me think of very practical ways to improve the quality of my life.

Like someone in the gym for the first time, I’m still learning how to use these new thought and behavior muscles. But I don’t feel helpless anymore. I am confident that with practice, I can master these skills to deal more successfully with difficult situations and people, enjoy my life more every day, and achieve whatever I want.

After working with her for a year, the words that come to my mind when I think of Andrea are perceptive, experienced and visionary. Working with her as a coach has enabled me to come to know myself better in a profound way.

She is a skillful listener who has been able to help me to sift through the wheat and the chaff in my mind and thus to help me recognize what is and what is not important for me. Using her experience and insight, she guided me to and through professional resources, knowledge, books, movies, web sites, quotes - even jokes. She made it possible for me, a 44 year old mother of two, to clarify a new career path, as well as embark on deepening self-discovery, in a manner both careful and joyous. Of the many gifts that I received through her coaching, the one that I use daily, is my ability to find the visionary within myself. Thanks to Andrea, I've found a home within myself. I feel I've gained and can tap into a very grounded perspective, that is now continually evolving, when making life's many decisions.

Thank you, Andrea!

I would like to share my deepest gratitude to you, Andrea.  At the time I met you, I knew I wanted a change, but I wasn’t clear what kind of change I needed.  You helped me on my path of discovery, in more ways than I expected.

You clearly have a gift of helping people.  Your non-judgmental and caring attitude clears away the confusion and the clutter.  The path is there, but if you can’t see it you are lost.  You are like a beacon that moves ahead showing what you are going to step on if you keep going the way you are, and then gently guiding to a clearer route.

Thanks to you, I am on my way to making the life I want.  I firmly believe we get what we ask for, and I am thankful I was asking for you, Andrea.
